Water slides(not the one you're thinking about) and Overtaking(not the one you're thinking of either)

Yesterday I was planning to return home from my classmates house, but before I could pack my things it suddenly started raining. You could imagine my disappointment, I ended up borrowing an umbrella. As I was on my journey towards home. I encountered, the harshest environment I have walked on. Everything was slippery and at the end of the slippery slopes was a pool of water. It didn't help for the fact I was wearing school shoes at the time. I almost slipped into one at one point. Never going out in the rain again if that is what awaits me. Luckily that was in the middle of the rain, it was at that point where there were only droplets left instead of the metaphorically buckets of water raining down the heavens.  Also when I was nearing the middle point of my journey, every slow student suddenly popped out of nowhere. They were walking like snails, and in groups. I ,personally think i walk more hastily than the normal person, so walking behind them was a pain. To overcome the obstacle that was laid before me I did what any fast paced walker would do at the side of the road. I walked on the road to overtake them. The funny part is I heard them laughing behind me, either I'm paranoid as high hell. I made it safe and sound back home, though one thing has stuck to me on that journey. Never walk in the rain while students are out.
